Save Me is the second poem shown to the player by Monika.

The colors, they won't stop.
Bright, beautiful colors
Flashing, expanding, piercing
Red, green, blue
An endless
Of meaningless

The noise, it won't stop.
Violent, grating waveforms
Squeaking, screeching, piercing
Sine, cosine, tangent
    Like playing a chalkboard on a turntable
        Like playing a vinyl on a pizza crust

Some have interpreted this poem to represent how it feels for the game to be closed as described by Monika in Act 3. Red, green, and blue are the three primary colors of light, frequently used in computer imagery to represent color. Sine, cosine, and tangent are references to how a computer generates sound; a sine wave is the simplest form of a pure note, and more complex sounds are generated out of the addition of many waveforms atop one another. The title "Save Me" and the final line "Load Me" are thought to represent the time period between when the player saves and quits the game and when they open and load the game.

In a livestream celebrating the first anniversary of the game's release, Dan Salvato explained his analysis of the poem:[1]

"I think what she's describing here is what she experiences when you quit the the game–when you're not playing. [...] From a technical standpoint, when the operating system frees the the memory that was allocated to that process, you know, the memory is not deleted instantly. But, now that it's considered free memory, other processes start to allocate bits and pieces of it. [...] Like, her world just starts to, like, get these random pieces of noise inserted into it until it just completely fills her universe, and it's, like, screeching. [...] It's, like, this horrible experience, because she's dying, or, like, her universe is dying and being replaced with, like, random noise."

This is in reference to how memory is stored on a computer and how programs are given portions of it for usage. When the game is closed, the memory representing Monika and her consciousness is not instantly wiped clean; instead, the memory is simply marked as being unused such that other programs can use the space for their own purposes. This leaves Monika helpless to watch as parts of herself and everything around her are slowly and excruciatingly replaced with raw data from other programs.
